Help Bring the Summit to Life

VOCES Health Summit 2026 brings together community members, health professionals, organizations, advocates, students, and partners from across the region. Volunteers help make that gathering possible.

We’re looking for people who want to share their time and energy to help create a welcoming, organized, and meaningful experience for everyone joining us in Brownsville, TX October 21 – 23.

Whether you’re available before the Summit or can help during the event itself, we’d love to hear from you.

Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Guest welcome and registration
  • Attendee directions and information
  • Session and speaker support
  • Exhibitor and vendor assistance
  • Hospitality and meal area support
  • Merchandise and swag table support
  • Community engagement activities
  • Event setup and breakdown
  • Event floaters, runners, and general logistics

Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the three-day Summit, including special sessions, site visits, and other Summit activities. When you sign up, you’ll be able to share your availability and areas of interest, and our team will match volunteers with roles based on event needs and scheduling.

As we get closer to the Summit, we’ll share more details about available roles, schedules, and where help is needed most.

We welcome interest from:

  • Partner organizations
  • Task Force members
  • Civic and service organizations
  • Health and public health professionals
  • Anyone interested in supporting healthier, stronger communities

You do not need to be a healthcare professional or have previous event experience to volunteer. Just bring your curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to help.

What to Expect

After you submit the interest form, our team will follow up as volunteer needs and schedules come together.

Volunteers will receive information about:

  • Available roles
  • Volunteer shifts
  • Where to report
  • What to expect during your shift
  • Arrival and check-in information
  • Event-day logistics
  • Volunteer shirts and swag
  • Meals or snacks provided during your shift
  • Any orientation or training that may be helpful

Our team will follow up with role assignments, shift details, and next steps before the Summit.
