Luz Macias oversees social services and supports community engagement efforts at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Brownsville. She has worked as a Community Health Worker in a diabetes management program, as well as a case manager at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health. Luz serves on the board of come dream come build and has been involved in the Cameron County Mental Health Task force. She is committed to working with partner organizations to address social determinant of health to improve the physical and mental well-being of our community.
