And this conversation will be moderated in english AND spanish by former Univision anchor, Claudia Botero.

Claudia Botero is a former Anchor-Investigative Reporter for Univision 34 KMEX-TV, the number one Spanish language television station in the nation. A Peabody and Nine-time Emmy Award winning journalist with over 24 years of experience, Claudia Joined the Los Angeles station in June 2004.
Claudia is a passionate, energetic, and dedicated bilingual and bi-cultural multifaceted reporter whose passion is to educate and empower the Latino community on such topics as education, health, immigration, and politics.

Dr. Ilan Shapiro

Dr. Ilan Shapiro was born and raised in Mexico City, he had the honor of being the liaison between Mexico and the World Health Organization after finishing Med School. This was the moment that proved to Dr. Shapiro that healthcare systems need to be connected with the most important aspect: the community.
Currently actively involved creating Binational Public Health Programs to reach Hispanic communities on both sides of the border; he was invited to become a part of The White House Hispanic Policy Group and became a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Since 2009, Dr. Shapiro has been regularly appearing on several national and international outlets (such as CNN, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, EstrellaTV and radio) to share information about emerging healthcare topics; translating "Medicalish" to an understandable language.

In 2018, Venus retired as faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, teaching cultural competence and health literacy, as well as conducting research on Latino medical mistrust.
Venus founded Día de la Mujer Latina, Inc., (DML), in 1997 as a national non-profit organization, celebrating its signature health fiesta in 40 states, Puerto Rico, México, and Dominican Republic, providing the medically underserved Latina community with culturally and linguistically proficient health education, early detection screening for chronic diseases, culturally-tailored preventive programs for Latino teens and patient-centered navigation.
Guadalupe Cornejo

Northwest Vista College, Community Health Worker Program
Guadalupe Cornejo is a faculty member of Northwest Vista College Community Health Worker Program. She is co-founder and lead organizer of the San Antonio Community Health Workers Association. Guadalupe has thirteen years of experience working as a community health worker in clinical/research, and community settings. In efforts to support the training and professional development of CHWs, Guadalupe leads and facilitates continuing education, workshops, and workforce development advocacy efforts to help advance CHW employment opportunities.
