The Latinx Voces Skills for Community Impact (SCI) Series is designed to strengthen workforce capacity across public health, healthcare, and community-based organizations.
As the third workshop in the 4-part Storytelling and Partnership Track, Designing Strategic Partnerships for Impact builds on storytelling foundations and focuses on strengthening how organizations collaborate to drive meaningful outcomes.
Participants will engage in guided exercises to analyze their partnership ecosystem, identify alignment and shared value, and design strategies for more effective collaboration.
This session emphasizes practical application, helping participants move from identifying partners to intentionally designing partnerships that are aligned, strategic, and sustainable.
Why does this Workshop matter?
Many organizations are actively working with partners—but not all partnerships are equally effective.
Some partnerships remain transactional or unclear, leading to:
- misaligned goals
- unclear roles and expectations
- limited impact despite strong effort
This workshop focuses on how to move from:
having partnerships → building strategic, aligned partnerships
Together, we’ll walk through how to:
- assess your current partnerships
- identify gaps and opportunities
- clarify roles and expectations
- design a partnership approach that supports real outcomes
You’ll also have the opportunity to apply this directly to your own work and leave with a clearer, more intentional partnership strategy.
Why Strategic Partnerships Matter in Community Health
No single organization can address complex community health challenges alone.
Strategic partnerships help organizations:
- expand reach and community impact
- align resources and expertise across sectors
- strengthen trust and collaboration
- improve coordination across programs and initiatives
- respond more effectively to community needs
However, many professionals lack structured approaches for evaluating partnerships or designing them intentionally.
This workshop focuses on bridging that gap with practical tools and real-world application.
Workshop Objectives
In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how to:
- Analyze their partnership ecosystem to identify gaps and opportunities
- Differentiate between transactional and strategic partnerships
- Identify alignment and shared value across partners
- Define roles, expectations, and contributions within partnerships
- Develop a partnership engagement approach aligned with a specific goal
What You’ll Actually Do”
This is not a lecture-style session.
In this workshop, you will:
- Map your current partnership ecosystem
- Identify high-impact and misaligned partnerships
- Clarify roles and expectations within partnerships
- Design an engagement strategy for a real partnership goal
You’ll also have the option to bring your own examples and begin applying what you learn directly to your work.
