For 11 years, Alma has served at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Brownsville as a Master Trainer for the Diabetes Prevention Program and Lead Senior Trainer for the Diabetes Self-Management Program. Through her passion for health education, Alma has helped bring vital diabetes prevention and self-management information directly into the community.
